Life Coach, Brian Tregunna, outlines the main theme of his role in coaching High-Performance.

A lot of my time as a Life Coach involves working with people in business, sport and the emergency services to help them improve and achieve what is often described as ‘The Flow State’. This is a state of mind & body where a person is sometimes said to be, ‘in the zone’ and is fully delivering sustained high-performance.

It’s a state of mind that feels great, looks great and deliver great results!

‘The Flow State’ is achieved when we reach a state of ‘Unconscious Competence’, as set-out in the diagram below.

‘Unconscious competence’ is a level above the more commonly known ‘conscious competence’, where people can complete a task to a good standard. When a person achieves ‘the Flow State’, they rely more on their intuition and perform with ‘relaxed intensity’.

It can look and feel very easy, but is built on a number of strong principles and habits. It’s those details that I Iove helping my clients to learn, practice and apply.
