Having trained with VTCT in Body Massage & Reflexology over 11 years ago Jan has used Continued Professional Development to add other modalities. She can now offer Indian Head Massage, Maternity Massage, Pregnancy Reflexology, Advanced Facial Reflexology, Facials and Facial Massage. She is currently training in nutrition and learning about Traditional Chinese Medicine. She feels it is vital to learn and develop.
She has lived in Cornwall all her life, and enjoys the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere that this beautiful county provides. She loves walking and exploring the local coastline and landscape, as well as being outside in the garden. She loves her dogs and feels they keep her centred and calm when relaxing at home.
In the past, she has worked extensively in education and care with special needs children and adults. Communicating with, and assisting people is what led her to the work she does now. “Every individual has a need, and a right, to be treated as such. This is why my consultations, and the way in which I perform a holistic massage or reflexology treatment, will differ from person to person.”
Holistic means relating to the whole. As a holistic therapist she feels she takes the whole person into consideration, rather than focusing on specific symptoms.
Jan is registered and fully insured with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), which allows her to offer receipts for those who have private or work insurance. Check you policy!
Jan also has a private space “The Potting Shed” at her home in Ponsanooth if the days at “The Wellness Hub, Falmouth” do not work for you. You can contact her directly to find out more.
Initial consultation taking about 5-10 minutes followed by massage. Movements will vary according to your needs, and we will make sure you are in a comfortable, supported position that is safe for both you and your baby. The treatment can end with a relaxing face and head massage.
PLEASE NOTE: I would appreciate that you discuss your wish to have Pregnancy massage with your Health Practitioner or Midwife. If they would like to discuss the treatment with me feel free to share my number.
If massage isn’t for you perhaps maternity reflexology would appeal. Similarly to massage, reflexology promotes emotional and physical wellbeing. Research carried out on maternity reflexology shows that regular treatments during pregnancy can shorten the duration of labour and reduce the need for pain relief. There are specific reflex points in your feet which relate to your body systems and organs, taking some time to focus on your busy life to focus on yourself and your growing baby is very nourishing and healing.

This massage originated, as the name suggests, in India over a thousand years ago. It is part of a natural healthcare method called Ayurveda that takes into account mind, body and spirit. It is an intense yet non-invasive massage that is a deeply calming and relaxing experience. Some clients feel more grounded and balanced after a treatment.
The face provides an ideal and precise tool to read and respond to what is going on with your body and mind. The aim is to bring balance to the reflexes in your face to help balance your entire body. The treatment works best if you allow yourself to be calm and quiet. This will allow focus and connection with the treatment. Facial Reflexology can help with stress and create relaxation, help with anxiety and grief. Any discomfort and pain can also be helped. It can help our nervous system and immune system. It can also improve skin health and condition. This is also available as an add-on to an Indian Head Massage or a Facial treatment.
The Organic Facials available are truly immersive and non-invasive facials using organic products from Pinks Boutique.
